Yeast Infection Cures

After trying all kinds of yeast infection cures there is only one yeast infection cure that addressed the cause of of my chronic yeast infection instead of merely treating the symptoms, and I have never had another one since.

If you are looking for a natural remedy for yeast infection problems then you have found it. I'm not going to tell you to douche with yogurt and garlic or drink baking soda.

I'm going to tell you to stop eating a high fat diet! Even if you declare your diet to be low fat I'm willing to bet good money it isn't.

Take it from someone who has had her fair share of yeast infections that you will continue to get them again and again until you face the cause: eating too much fat.

What is a yeast infection?

Yeast is normally found anywhere where there is moisture, such as the vagina. But, a yeast infection occurs when things get out of control and there is an overgrowth of this yeast.

If you have a yeast infection the typical symptoms may be: intense itching and burning in the vagina and vulva, discharge varying from white, yellow, and clear and clumpy or thin, and a yeasty smell such as that of bread or beer.

However, these same symptoms could also indicate other infections such as a bacterial infection or UTI, so it is important to be checked by a doctor if the condition becomes severe.

What causes a yeast infection?

A yeast infection is caused by candida, which is a type of yeast.

The reason why women have such a difficult time preventing and ridding themselves of yeast infections is because candida is greatly misunderstood.

The bottom line is that if you understand candida and its relation to excess fat in our diets, you will discover the needle in the haystack of yeast infection cures and never experience another one ever again.

What is candida?

Candida is a yeast that is typically found in the body at low levels in areas of moisture such as the digestive tract, mouth, throat, and vagina. It is also naturally found in human blood, and it is here that the problem begins.

What is candidas purpose?

Candida is meant to be in our blood, and the sugar it finds there is its food.

The candida grows in size according to how much sugar is available, but as soon as the sugar we eat leaves the bloodstream and is dispersed amongst the cells, the excess candida dies off.

The only candida cure - Eating low fat

This is all normal, but a problem arises when we eat too much fat. If we consistently eat a diet that is high in fat the sugar we eat will remain trapped in the bloodstream and the candida population will remain large and begin to produce unwelcome symptoms such as yeast infections.

But, you ask, why does fat trap sugar in the blood?

Well, the pancreas produces insulin and it is insulin's job to attach to the sugar molecules and then find the insulin receptors in the wall of our blood vessels so that the sugar can be transported to our cells. However, fat coats the walls of the blood vessels and prevents insulin from finding the receptors.

So if insulin can't take sugar to our cells, what happens to it? Candida gobbles it up and actually saves our lives in the process. But to add more problems to the mix, our cells never receive the sugar they need for fuel and you will see many people who eat high fat diets (especially diabetics) who seem run down with no energy.

Yeast infections cures - 10% fat

The easiest natural remedy for yeast infection is to eat a low fat diet! Of course you could also eat a diet very low in sugar and carbs as a yeast infection cure, but this is just controlling the symptoms instead of fixing the problem, and you would eventually have strong cravings for carbohydrates.

Yeast infection cures - How much fat is optimal?

Dr. Doug Graham says 10% of our total calories should come from fat, and this can easily be achieved by eating only fruits, veggies, greens, and a small amount of overt fats, such as avocado, nuts, seeds, coconut, etc.

The last time I had a yeast infection I cut out all overt fats and all my nasty symptoms were gone in only a few days. This makes sense because this is about how long it takes for high amounts of fat to clear from the bloodstream.

In the past, when I would take prescriptions and try crazy "cures" like douching with garlic, my yeast infection would drag on and on for weeks, only to return in another few months with a vengeance.

I'm glad to have finally solved the riddle to confusing yeast infection cures and the answer is that I am in control of my health by what I choose to put in my mouth.

I began a low fat raw food diet several years ago and it drastically changed my life and how I feel. If you want to get rid of yeast infections and all your other health problems, changing your diet is the only true cure.
