Raw Food Diet Menu Day 4

Breakfast

I had to go into work today but nothing keeps me from having OJ on my raw food diet menu. There is a little cafe down the street from the office and they make fresh juices. I ordered 2 large OJ's, which I'm pretty sure are 16 oz each (they have said it takes 8 oranges to make one.) I drank one at 12:30 and saved the other for a little later at 2:00.

32 oz OJ

408 calories, 94g carbs, 2g fat, 6g protein

Lunch

I got home from work at 4:00 and did a half hour on the elliptical as I watched Oprah. At 5:00 I had half a watermelon and at about 5:30 I had some strawberries and raspberries.

Half a large watermelon, 1 cup strawberries, 1/2 cup raspberries

755.5 calories, 189g carbs, 4.2g fat, 15.6g protein

Dinner

I fertilized my tomato and cucumber plants with worm castings while my fruit meal digested. I get tops 2 hours direct sunlight on the little guys so I don't know if they will make it but the little yellow flowers are starting to show so we shall see.

At 7:00 I had a salad. I haven't had romaine lettuce in such a long time because I always seem to enjoy the leafy greens much more, but it was a nice change of pace to have some crunchier greens.

1 head romaine, 1 cucumber, 1 green pepper, 1 carrot, 1 cup corn, 3 tomatoes, 4 raw unsalted black olives.

429 calories, 82.3g carbs, 8.6g fat, 16.5g protein

Dessert

Usually I feel very satisfied after my salad, which is usually the last meal of my day. But tonight I still felt hungry, so I probably didn't eat enough fruit earlier. I ended up making a little fruit salad that left me very full and satisfied.

1 banana, 4 kiwi, 1 grapefruit, 1 mango

509 calories, 131.2g carbs, 3.3g fat, 8.1g protein


Raw Food Diet Menu Day 4 totals:

2,101.5 calories, 496.5g carbs, 18.1g fat, 46.2g protein

I'm surprised at how many calories my body needed today. Usually I feel full on less but I have been eating less fat (I notice I require more calories on less fat) and worked out pretty hard.

Today was about 9% protein and 8% fat.
