Raw Food Diet Menu

Today I did 25 mins on the elliptical, P90x ab ripper, and some free weights for my arms. An hour later I had 32 oz OJ.

My sister got me a new orange juice press for my birthday and it's soooo much easier to make OJ now. It takes at least half the time and no one has to listen to the awful racket of the old one.

However it's a bit of bad timing because I've decided to cut back a little...or actually a lot...on the oranges. I've been breaking out some and am curious to see if it could be due to too many oranges since I've heard some people report that citrus gives them skin problems. I decided to tally up my weekly intake and was astonished that I've been having nearly 150 a week. I don't think I could even find that many in nature, I'd be wiping out entire groves haha so I'm going to try for 30-40 a week and see how it goes. They will be missed :(

32 oz OJ

408 calories, 94g carbs, 2g fat, 6g protein

For lunch I had some figs. I'm so glad they are finally out and after realizing how much I love them (second to oranges of course) I decided to plant some fig trees of my own, which I just planted a few days ago.

They need a lot of sunlight so we planted them at the end of the drive way away from the shade of the other trees. After they get a little bigger I want to plant some more veggies/fruits around them and turn the sections into little food gardens. Maybe some greens and what not in the fall.

6 medium figs

222 calories, 57.5g carbs, 0.9g fat, 2.2g protein

A little later I had an entire watermelon. They are the most alkaline fruit so I think they would be a nice substitute for the missed calories from oranges.

1 long melon

1,355 calories, 341.1g carbs, 6.8g fat, 27.6g protein

For dinner, around 6:00, I had a big salad, compliments of Olive Garden. They had brought us free soup and salad at my work and I got to take home the enormous salad probably meant for ten people.

I had to pick out the salt laden hot peppers and olives and the onions but I dressed it back up with some zucchini, cucumber, unsalted olives, and extra tomatoes.

An estimated 2 heads iceberg, 1 zucchini, 1 cucumber, 4 tomatoes, 4 olives

327.9 calories, 63.7g carbs, 6.4g fat, 15.6g protein

2,312.9 calories, 556.3g carbs, 16.1g fat, 51.4g protein

Today was about 6.5% fat and 9% protein
