Raw Food Diet Menu Day 11

The raw food diet menu breakfast today was 32 oz OJ before my morning workout. Rather than juice them, I just sucked the juice right out of the orange slices. Juicing all those oranges sometimes becomes tiresome and I've heard this method is good for blood sugar levels because you're taking in the juice at a rate that is more natural.

I did P90X ab ripper, half hour on the elliptical, 4 sets of 50 lunges, and 4 sets of 7 assisted pull ups. All in all the workout took me an hour and then I had another 32 oz of OJ.

A few hours later I made a small fruit salad.

2 kiwi, 1 cup strawberries, 1 grapefruit, 1 orange

319 calories, 78.7g carbs, 2.1g fat, 5.9g protein

Later for dinner I made a salad. I seem to be eating less greens lately. Before I was doing a pound every day for a few months but my body seems to have obtained whatever it was in need of because now it's happy with 3 or 6 oz. Any more than that and I feel sedated from too much calcium most likely, and overstuffed

I think we can be low on certain nutrients and crave certain foods until the body has satisfied that need and built up a reserve, especially in the early years of just starting a raw food diet.

4 oz arugula, 1 cup corn, 10 dates, 4 olives, 1 cucumber, 1 stalk celery, 1 red pepper, 3 tomatoes

If you feel like you didn't eat enough calories during the day on your raw food diet menu, an easy way to make up for it is to add a lot of dates to your evening salad. This way you can satisfy your hunger without having to eat fresh fruit after your salad, which for some people does not digest well.

Today was about 5.5% fat and 6.5% protein
