Raw Food Breakfast

For a raw food breakfast, use these free raw food recipes to start your day off right. Some of the best raw food recipes for breakfast are green smoothies, fruit salads, and apple cinnamon granola. Even if you do not eat a strict raw food diet, having a breakfast of raw foods can do wonders for your health.

Your breakfast choice is crucial to whether or not your body can continue to detoxify or is forced to stop. For example, eggs and bacon will bring a halt to all the body's hard work after a long night of fasting, but a raw food breakfast such as a fruit smoothie or bowl of chia oatmeal will allow the body to continue to cleanse itself.

A light breakfast of raw foods will also result in higher energy levels throughout the day because of how easy it is to digest. My favorite raw food breakfast is a raw food smoothie, which is predigested by the blender and even easier to digest.

There are many free raw foood recipes to choose from for a delicious, raw breakfast and most of the best raw food recipes are very easy to make.

Spinach-Banana Green Smoothie

Green Smoothies are one of the best raw food recipes to help you get your greens in. A green smoothie will provide you with the protein and minerals your body thrives on, as well as the simple sugars in fruit that your brain and muscles require.

Ingredients:

1 cup spinach
2 cups romaine
1 cup celery
2 bananas
2 apples

Method:

1. Throw all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

Note: A high powered blender, such as a Vitamix, is nice to have to make green smoothies because it leaves no chunks behind.

Apple Cinnamon Granola & Almond Nut Milk

You can make your own granola if you have a dehydrator but it is often easier to just buy your own. You can purchase a really amazing raw apple cinnamon granola here that a company called Go Raw makes. They also make a chocolate granola, simple granola, and live granola cereal that I can confirm are all very good. If you do not have access to raw milk, as most do not, a delicious alternative is nut milk.
